Sonam Kapoor was born on the 9th of June 1985 in Maharastra,
Mumbai. She is one of the freshest faces in Indian film industry, Bollywood.
She is the daughter of a film star, Anil Kapoor, and ex-model, Sunita Kapoor. She
was a sister called Rhea and a brother called Harshwardhan. She
had studied at the United World College of South East Asia to do her
International Baccalaureate. She studied theatre in Singapore for 2 years, then
she joined Sanjay Leela Bhansali as
an assistant for the making of a film called ‘Black’ and there she gained
insight into the art of filmmaking. Sanjay saw talent in Sonam and
gave her a role in his next film called ‘Saawariya’.
The movie failed to do a good job for the Box Office. She then starred
in a movie called ‘Delhi 6’ which was a hit at the Box Office and her acting
skills were appreciated and complimented. She started to get many roles in
different movies along with films produced by her father. She gained a lot of
audience and developed a knack of reading in her early childhood.
