Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence was born on the 15th of August 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky. Her parents, Karen and Gary, had owned a farm outside the city. She has 2 older brother called Blaine and Ben. Jennifer had been into sports and was very athletic. She did many sports like cheerleading, field hockey etc. and she also did modelling and community theatre. She thought of being a doctor and had never dreamed of being a actress. At the age of 14, Jennifer wen to New York for spring break and was finally discovered. A random stranger had asked to take a picture of her and then took her mother’s phone number. The very next day, they got a phone call from that same stranger and asked her to do a screen test. She stayed in New York for the summer, and she was filming Devil You Know with Lena Olin and was acting in MTV commercials. She started getting small roles in Medium, Monk and Cold Case and the family moved to Los Angeles. She got a part in The Bill Engvall Show. When she was working on the series she also appeared in films like The Poker House and The Burning Plain. She appeared in Winter’s Bone in 2010 and it earned nominations for an Academy Award, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award. She started to get many offers and roles and started to build up her career as an actress.
