Selena Gomez

Selena Marie Gomez was born on the 22nd of July 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Her parents were Ricardo Gomez and Amanda Cornett, her mother had given birth to Selena was she was 16. Selena started her acting career in 2001 when she had performed on a popular TV show Barney & Friends, as Gianna. She was dropped from the series after 2 years in 2003. 2 years after that, she had auditioned for many shows and roles but failed to succeed. She finally got a role (a small role) in Spy Kids 3-D: Game over. She got a part in the television show Brain Zapped and she also recorded a song for it. In 2006, her career started to kick off a bit better when she got her first major role as Gwen in the Suite Life of Zack & Cody on Disney channel. She also got a role in Hannah Montana on Disney Channel. She started to become a disney channel start when she landed her first starring role when she was casted as Alex Russo in the series Wizards Of Waverly Place in 2007. The series became very popular on disney channel which increased her fame. She started her music career as well.
