Aston Merrygold

Aston Ian Merrygold was born on the 13th of February 1988 in Peterborough, England. He has 1 sister and 5 brothers. His mother was a former roller disco champion. As he was growing up Aston had decided his career in football. He played for England’s youth team, however he had problems with his foot which meant his football career had to come to an end. So, he took singing and acting to his route of fame instead. He started acting in school plays and the was able to land a part in the ITV show, Fun Song Factory. He had left school at the age of 16 to become the presenter of the show. In 2002, Merrygold entered Stars In Their Eyes and he had performed as his idol and her, Michael Jackson. Aston got his big break when he joined up with Oritise, Marvin and JB (Jonathon Gill) to form a boy band called UFO. They all had then entered the X Factor changing their name to JLS. They entered the 2008 X Factor and went to the finals, coming second to Alexandra Burke. However, its had almost nearly been a year since JLS have broken up and separated their ways.
